Welcome to Montvale Retreat Center, a beautiful location nestled in the foothills of the Smoky Mountains just outside of Maryville, Tennessee. We are excited to host our retreat at a location with a diverse range of amenities that cater to groups of all ages and types.

Our retreat center features group cabins, a large main lodge and dining hall, a huge swimming pool, beautiful hiking trails, a basketball court, outdoor classrooms, and a fun rock climbing and ropes course.

Our 364-acre property is situated at the base of Chilhowee Mountain and shares a border with the Great Smoky Mountains National Park.

FAQ

The retreat is designed for youth ages 12-18. Boys and girls are welcome and will be in gender-segregated cabins.

The retreat is taking place from June 9-12, 2023 at the Montvale Retreat Center, located at the base of Chilhowee Mountain (4901 Montvale Road, Maryville, TN 37803).

There are limited spots, with only 120 spots available for attendees.

Each individual attendee is charged $275.

We understand that not everyone can pay the full amount, so financial aid is available for those in need. You can submit a financial aid request using the form on our website.

Attendees should pack clothing for 4 days/3 nights (including warm clothes, just in case), appropriate swimwear, closed-toe sneakers or shoes, a personal towel, sleeping bag and pillow, medication (if needed), toiletries, sunscreen, insect repellent, flashlight, notebook with pen/pencil, personal Qur’an/Mushaf, and a reusable water bottle.

No phones, headphones, laptops, or other devices are permitted at the retreat. Attendees must hand over these devices to retreat organizers to ensure a peaceful atmosphere and prioritize the spiritual journey.

Dinner on Friday, breakfast, lunch, and dinner on Saturday and Sunday, and breakfast on Monday are included. Zabihah halal meals are provided throughout the retreat.

Our retreat features renowned Islamic speakers, Quran reciters, lecturers, and shuyukh. Our dedicated staff includes youth mentors, an in-house chef, medical personnel, and organizers.

Attendees can expect daily prayer and dhikr, Qur’an recitation, workshops, mentorship, meals, and recreational activities such as hiking, rock climbing, swimming, basketball, soccer, and archery.
